We’re excited to declare the winners of this year’s Royal College of Art Helen Hamlyn Fixperts Awards.
–
The prestigious awards champion human-centred design and acknowledges the brilliant work carried out by Fixperts around the world. The RCA Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design jury, chaired by their Director Rama Gheerawo, selected the winning projects based on their relationship with the Fix Partner, ingenuity of the solution and the quality of the storytelling. For the second year running a special award was added – Designing in a Pandemic – which was formed to recognise the exceptional projects that have directly responded to the global pandemic.
–
The winner for the RCA Helen Hamlyn Fixperts Award is Glove Device for Jo by Adam Boult, Cleo Morgan and Anwen Parnis and the winner of the Special Award – Designing in a Pandemic is Illuminated Mask for Ben by Eddie Cockcroft, Ben Talbot and Oscar Van Til both from the University of Brighton. The winners were announced as part of the Helen Hamlyn Design Awards Ceremony held virtually today.
