Royal College of Art Helen Hamlyn Fixperts Award 2019 is open for submissions.

Calling all Fixperts! We want to hear from all of the undergraduate students and tutors who have been involved in a Fixperts project in the last two years. Once again your inspiring Fix Films can be nominated for the Royal College of Art Helen Hamlyn Fixperts Award.

This open international competition rewards creativity in human-centred design across all disciplines. The winner will be announced at the prestigious Helen Hamlyn Awards ceremony in London, on Monday 1 July, during the annual RCA Graduation Shows. This extraordinary recognition, now in its 7th year, has become a key moment in Fixperts story.

Key criteria are the relationship with the Fix Partner, ingenuity of the solution and the quality of the storytelling. Please send in Fix Films that have true impact on lives, improve accessibility and enable richer activity with stories that focus on health, the ageing community and social benefit. And don’t forget the film must be made within the last two years and respecting creative copyrights.

If you haven’t taken part in a Fixperts project before, there’s still time! Read more about the process, join the community and download our guidelines here. If you have any questions get in touch.

If you’re not writing your own music you need to have permission to use it. Make sure that the music is marked as royalty free – you can download tracks online.
