Healthcare is a rich territory for user- /human- centred and inclusive design, and new ideas of open design and DIY design; the collision of human need and systems, emotion and technology is unparalleled. Our list is endless, from Lindap and Remap modifying products, Rachael Wallach hacking wheelchairs, and Surgi Box considering new contexts (pictured). Waag Institutes current ‘Chronic Health’ exhibition contemplates our future as an ageing population, and takes this up a level, bridging co-design, data practices and tiger penises.
